“We need our business system to be cloud-based. We need it to be flexible. NetSuite does everything we need it to do.” Shaun Perkins, Group Finance Director, Audioboom

A Media Standout Trades Xero for NetSuite

Capitalising on market opportunities
As podcasts exploded in popularity, Audioboom seized the opportunity, helping podcasters monetise their shows with advertising. The company now boasts an international audience of 34 million unique monthly listeners, offices in both London and New York, and a listing on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market.
From accounting software to ERP
Amid its quick and impressive growth, Audioboom outgrew its original accounting software, Xero. With Xero, completing certain tasks required either developing complex workarounds or buying bolt-on apps at a significant cost. Plus, as a publicly listed company, Audioboom needed the ability to present more detailed data on company performance, faster.
Less admin, more insight
Audioboom has used NetSuite OneWorld to automate billing and accounts receivable, saving its accounting team time on a daily basis. Month-end close now takes just two days instead of five. Data analysis is easier, too: Audioboom explores and reports on KPIs like profitability per podcast without having to sift through and manually manipulate data.
Adding automation
As it balances revenue growth with cost control, Audioboom is looking to use more of NetSuite’s capabilities. This includes taking advantage of more data analysis functionality in NetSuite Planning and Budgeting as well as automating payments, which will prove especially valuable as Audioboom’s roster of 500 podcasters continues to grow.
