“NetSuite was the only viable tool for launching our ecommerce operations, branching out internationally and adding manufacturing and service capabilities as we grew.” Trevor Heyworth, Director, TECNI Ltd.

A Strong System for Global Growth

Tensile strength secures sales and distribution
TECNI sends 30-40 shipments a day to almost every country in the world. The company doubled in size for five consecutive years and then focused on expanding its international client base and ecommerce sales, the latter of which now comprise a quarter of annual revenues.
More offerings, more requirements
TECNI had a growing number of customers and products to manage, along with additional manufacturing and testing services, such as those for military-grade cable assemblies and Formula 1 racing cars. Leadership determined that a comprehensive system with which to manage quality control and track inventory would be essential.
Inventory tracking and ecommerce made easy
TECNI now uses NetSuite to automatically generate supply labels, certifications and technical paperwork for its products, meaning teams no longer type certificates by hand and operatives don’t miss product data sheets. Lot numbers on all products, plus bar codes on all paperwork and labels, provide full traceability when generated and tracked in NetSuite. The team also used SuiteCommerce to launch its ecommerce and wholesale business, amassing sales of £75,000 ($100,000 USD) in one year.
Opportunities ahead
As a company, TECNI is saving an estimated £50,000 per year, which it attributes to its staff’s ability to run international operations remotely in NetSuite. TECNI aims to continue growing its business in North America and driving repeat sales among cable assembly customers. It will also focus on adding more large, core customers such as military and nuclear power operators.
