Ecommerce companies standardize on NetSuite for on-demand end-to-end ecommerce solution with amazon.com-like power

SAN MATEO, Calif. — February 15, 2007 — NetSuite, Inc., the leader in on-demand business management software for small and mid-sized businesses, today announced that more than 1,500 ecommerce customers around the globe have standardized their ecommerce operations on NetSuite for a complete and powerful end-to-end solution. These ecommerce companies have grown their businesses exponentially, resulting in 1,901,844 Web transactions totaling more than $290 million sold through NetSuite®-powered websites in 2006 — making NetSuite the leading provider of on-demand ecommerce solutions for sub-$10 million revenue sites. With the release of new NetSuite ecommerce functionality (please see the accompanying press release at www.netsuite.com/pressrelease), more than 1,500 NetSuite ecommerce customers including mid-sized companies will have more functionality to manage their ecommerce sites and support their growth, globalisation, multiple Web stores and companies/subsidiaries. NetSuite also brings more business process customisation functionality to meet the specific needs of their industry requirements.

Some of the customers that have standardized on NetSuite ecommerce solutions and have experienced rapid growth include:

MOTIF Modern Living (www.motifmod.com) – based in Kyle, Texas

  • NetSuite B2C user since January 2006
  • Web store sales from January 2006 launch to December 2006: increased 6,161 percent.

MOTIF Modern Living operates a unique contemporary furniture outlet just ten minutes south of downtown Austin, Texas. The loft-like space features beautifully designed vignettes of warm, contemporary home furnishings — all at affordable prices. MOTIF Modern Living offers what it calls "Modern Style" for a "Modest Price."

"We just launched our ecommerce initiative in January 2006, but are already reaping the rewards of increased sales," said Steven Lora, president of MOTIF Modern Living. "NetSuite is the secret weapon that allows smaller ecommerce sites to compete with the retail giants. Because so much of the sales process is automated, NetSuite enables us to operate our ecommerce business with fewer employees."

Otter Products, LLC (www.otterbox.com) – based in Fort Collins, Colorado

  • NetSuite B2C user since January 2006
  • Web sales from 2005 to 2006: increased by 125 percent.

Otter Products, LLC is a manufacturer of rugged technology cases for various devices such as iPods, PDAs, smart phones, laptops and GPS units.

"NetSuite provides us with an organised system that integrates all functions of our business, from sales and marketing to accounting and shipping," said Curt Richardson, CEO of Otter Products, LLC. "Our online customers have a user friendly experience; they can easily manage their shopping cart and track orders. The overall success is evident."

ProSoap.com (www.prosoap.com) – based in Rockwall, Texas

  • NetSuite B2B and B2C user since 2002
  • Web Store sales rose more than 622 percent from 2004 to 2005; and continued sequential growth in annual sales in excess of 230 percent from 2005 to 2006.

ProSoap Inc., a manufacturer of hand cleaners, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Texas Nova-Chem Corp., which was founded in 1977.

"NetSuite has made the transition into the ecommerce world possible for our small manufacturing company," said Billy Self, president of ProSoap. "Going direct to the end-users who really 'get their hands dirty' is possible thanks to our ecommerce platform. With NetSuite, ProSoap.com can keep very low inventory levels in both raw materials and finished goods, and still ship its customer orders within 24 hours."

Putters.com (www.putters.com) – based in Algonquin, Illinois

  • NetSuite B2C user since February 2006
  • Sales grew by 40 percent from 2005 to 2006
  • Over 90 percent of sales come from the Internet — a full service online pro shop that sells new golf equipment from major manufacturers such as Nike, TaylorMade, Cleveland, Callaway and other major manufacturers.

Putters.com is owned and run by golfers who know the industry and are involved in running the day-to-day business and are available for questions or recommendations. The company is committed to providing the absolute best customer service.

"The previous company I owned was much larger, using a system that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars," said Bob Frauenheim, owner of Putters.com. "When I started Putters.com I was looking for something that would have that same business-class functionality — for purchasing, warehousing, order processing — but was more affordable for a startup company. Lower total cost of ownership, high return on investment, and having everything all integrated — that's the big strength of NetSuite."
