SAN MATEO, Calif.—October 28, 2011 —NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry’s leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP software suites, today announced the details of an upcoming webinar designed to help project-based companies understand how  services resource planning (SRP) systems specifically designed for professional services organisations can drive efficiencies and innovation within their business to win against the competition. The webinar, "Driving Success in a Project-Based Business," will feature China Martens, analyst at Forrester Research who will unveil the latest challenges and pressures professional services companies face, along with insights on how project-based ERP (also known as SRP) can help address those challenges, as well as best practices for implementing a SRP or project-based ERP system. The webinar will also spotlight NetSuite customers Mycom Global Solutions and Splunk who will share their first-hand knowledge, best practices and secrets to their business success in utilizing NetSuite SRP. Project-based businesses face unique pressures and challenges, and the right ERP system, tailored for the specific needs of professional services organisations, can make the difference between success and failure. The webinar will be presented by Ed Marshall, Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at NetSuite, and in addition to Forrester Research analyst China Martens, will feature real-world stories from NetSuite customers Calvin Jackman from Mycom Global Solutions and Christopher Nelson of Splunk. Participating speakers will outline how cloud-based SRP can drive increased utilization, better resource management, improved project performance and profitability.

"NetSuite's pioneering SRP vision is revolutionizing the way professional services businesses manage their resources, skills, service delivery, customer acquisition and billing processes, and can significantly drive higher rates of repeat business from existing clients," said Marshall. "A comprehensive cloud SRP strategy can enable services organisations to realise these benefits quickly, and for the first time provides a clear path to improved margins, higher-quality and more transparent client interactions, and real-time visibility into services business operations."

Webinar attendees will gain insight on how to:

  • Streamline project accounting, time and expense management, and billing by leveraging SRP solutions
  • Leverage best practices for selecting and deploying a project-focused cloud ERP solution
  • Increase annual revenue per consultant by 23 percent and increase project margins by 7 percent
  • Increase real-time visibility up to 15 percent into key metrics such as project profitability and cash flow
  • Gain a competitive advantage with a SRP solution in the cloud.
