Genesys, a provider of call center and customer experience technology, has grown to become a $1 billion company with operations in 90 countries around the globe. After it was spun off from Alcatel-Lucent in 2012, it needed to transition from its parent company’s SAP system. Global management from a single solution: After evaluating Microsoft Dynamics GP and SAP Business ByDesign, Genesys chose NetSuite for its unified platform, global consolidation and cloud architecture. It provided a single global instance for Genesys’s subsidiaries, now numbering 63 and transactions in 38 currencies, while providing tight controls.

Transacting at scale, onboarding acquisitions: Since the implementation, Genesys has acquired 13 companies and moved those businesses to NetSuite in as little as a month, while running up to 10,000 transactions a month and more than 50 reports, providing real-time visibility to investors and positioning it for a possible IPO.

Revenue recognition ready: Transitioning not just its own systems, but also its software, to the cloud Genesys turned to NetSuite for a platform that could recognize revenue across on-premise software, cloud software and maintenance while accounting for changes to the new revenue recognition on the horizon.
